Jnana Prabodhini’s Institute of Psychology (JPIP) is an offspring of Jnana Prabodhini – the mother Institute and a psychology wing of Jnana Prabodhini Samshodhan Sanstha (JPSS) and it is affiliated to University of Pune as research centre.
It is recognized nationally and internationally especially under 2(f) and 12(B). It aims at ‘Identification and nurturance of human potentials for social cause with a foundation of research’ it focuses on the core human potentials like Intellectual Abilities, Traits, Competencies, Skills and Behavioural aspect.
JPIP reaches to variety of people from all walks of life from India and abroad.
JPIP has done a vast work in research in psychology. The major focus of research is Psychometrics, Developmental Psychology, School Psychology , Educational Psychology, Intelligence & Cognitive competencies, Reading & Study skills, School Environment, Creativity, Leadership, Women’s Studies, Behavioural Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence, Parenting, Yoga, Personality development, Self-concept, Social awareness, Satisfaction of Life, Rural Development, Indian Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Defence Psychology, Psychology of Gifted and other Educational Researches but it has also undertaken research in Humanities, Linguistic Sciences, Health Psychology (Psycho-Social / Biomedical), Physical Sciences, Managerial Sciences etc. and it is still widening the horizons for research in future.

Simultaneously, it has been helping leading industries for their recruitment, placement, promotion and imparting training programmes in life skills.
JPIP has its own assessment and guidance centre and also has a separate training department for children and lay persons.
It is very well established as an educational institute by having courses in psychology; also a guidance hub for Ph. D. students.
Thus JPIP is providing its services through almost all the strata of society through its six sections.
JPIP is mainly devoted to Psychology but it has room for other subjects undertaken by JPSS.
One of the very important functions of JPIP is to conduct seminars, conferences, educational activities related to research; it also provides facilities and scholarships for research and makes available guidance and consultancy based on research products.
